I have used this hospital several times and they have always looked after me well! My first visit was 20 years ago when I came off my racing bike - don't ask me what a 63 year old was doing at 28mph on a racing bike! A and E sorted me out for extensive cuts and bruises so I was soon back in the saddle.
10 years later I had a feeling that I was unwell but alone at home. A 999 call had me into an ambulance with a Heart Block and slowing pulse. At the Hospital a day under observation and a day later I had my Pacemaker. This served me well for 8 years when another emergency had me at New Cross for a replacement unit. Problem free.
For the last 5 years or so I have had treatment for Keratosis under Dr.Ladoyanni and this has kept skin cancer at bay. Friendly and efficient team.
Now I am under Mr. Liew for treatment for a possible cancer in my Salivary Glands. I have a scan later this month and I have confidence in this team who have had to stand back whilst I had an emergency treatment for an Aortal Aneurism
The nurses were short staffed but were still very caring and efficient.
As a recent patient I was treated with respect, dignity and kindness. The staff were professional and attentive in the cardiac unit
Good and clean with friendly staff and short waiting times.
All the care I received during my stay was excellent.
The only problem I have had since discharge has been organising community physio, it took a lot of phone calls and chasing up when the urgent referral should have been sent on my day of discharge. 3 weeks later I got my appointment.
Though there are 100s of positives which outweigh this 1 negative.
Thank you Russells Hall, definitely there when I needed you.
I had a 6 night stay on B3, all of the staff were excellent .Thank you
Every single person I came into contact with at Russells Hall Hospital treated me with respect and dignity and the level of treatment I received was second to none. I cannot praise the staff at the hospital enough. I spent 3 periods of 1 week at the hospital during 2010 and then 2 visits per week for 6 months. If you are unlucky enough to have to have hospital treatment then I hope you are lucky enough to use Russells Hall Hospital.
